DIGITAL SKEDS AND EXPEDITIONS

WSJT 50MHz ACTIVITY WEEKEND
On Saturday 13 March and Sunday 14 March we will have 50 MHz activity periods from 0330 to 0600 utc to test and evaluate the various modes and we will use a different frequency for each mode as follows:
50.255 FSK441A
50.265 FSK441C
50.275 JT6M
As usual we will use a 15 second period and the northernmost station will transmit during the first period.
On Saturday go into Options and select the EU setup putting %L at the end of the TX1 and TX6 lines. On Sunday use the NA setup, again inserting %L. Select the Short Message option on the front panel.
Each station should try to work each of the other participating stations on each of the three modes and your feedback regarding accuracy of copy and speed in completing QSO will be appreciated so it can be fed back to K1JT.
We will schedule a 144 MHz meteor scatter activity weekend later in the month.
We hope that as many as possible will take part this weekend.

WEEKEND WSJT DIGITAL OPERATION
Weekend operations using WSJT will continue on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 0330 utc until 0600 utc and primary calling frequencies will be 50.245 and 144.245 MHz. The FSK441 mode is used primarily for meteor scatter work and JT44 for long-distance tropo work.
If you aren't already equipped for WSJT we urge you to try it and you will be amazed what your VHF station is capable of. With 100 watts on 144 MHz and a small Yagi fixed on the horizon you will be able to make contacts in North America by reflecting your signals off the moon.
