View to the North from Cape Point towards my station location.
The large, flat, blue mountain to the left of my location is Table Mountain.
The bay behind Table Mountain is Table Bay where Robben Island is located.
The bay on the right of Cape Point is False Bay and is about 64km wide.
The entire narrow section of the peninsula, from the center of the photograph to Cape Point, is a nature reserve. Visitors may travel to Cape Point where the most powerful lighthouse in the world is located on the sheer cliffs. Popular belief is that Cape Point is the Southern tip of Africa. This is incorrect. The Southern tip is more than 100km towards the East at Cape Agulhas.
