144MHz SKEDS AND EXPEDITIONS


Richard ZS2CLI reports: "In the Eastern Cape mainly but also in ZS1 and ZS5 conditions permitting there is a regular sked most evenings at 21:00 CAT on 144.400. Regular participants include, ZS2FM, ZS2U, ZS2ABU, ZS2JF, ZS2AH, ZS5DJ, ZR2NB, ZS2CLI, ZS2ACP, ZR2BET. Sometimes we're lucky to be joined by others from areas along the coast to the East and West of the Eastern Cape.
Modes worked include FM, SSB and sometimes even SSTV. Stations run anything from 10watts to 150 watts and all stations are using Horizontally polarised antennas.
The net usually runs for about 30 mins or more depending on conditions."
