South Taranaki Branch 87
of N.Z.A.R.T.
Repeaters

The South Taranaki Branch is well served with repeaters on 2m and 70cm bands.

On the 2m band we have the choice of
Egmont 705 (+ 600Khz split) and
Opunake 540 (- 600Khz split)
these two repeaters are linked to provide coverage over a very large area.

On the 70cm band users can make use of the
Egmont 880 (- 5Mhz split) repeater

The National System can be accessed from most parts of Taranaki through the Egmont 490 repeater (+ 5Mhz split).  Coverage does not extend to the western side of the mountain.

Details of all amateur repeaters are available on the N.Z.A.R.T website.

All licenced operators are welcome to use the repeaters.
Please leave a 2 second gap between overs when on the repeaters, this gives other users a chance to 'break in' if they need to use the repeater urgently or maybe want to add something useful or interesting to you QSO.
