4 x 6 element LFA 6m EME Array

The G0KSC 6 element LFA was chosen because of the very low side and rear lobes, especially when stacked.
This reduces the pickup of local noise sources to improve the receive performance.

The parasitic elements and part of the LFA driven element (the center section of each LFA's "DE2") assembled on the booms ...

The first test of one of the LFAs ...

SWR and Xs curves as shown on a SARK110 analyser. Note the broad 50 Ohm SWR curve with the dip and resonance (Xs=0) at 50.234 MHz ...

The four LMR400 phasing harness feed point ends with ferrite common mode choke baluns fitted.
The four LFA loop driven element feed point insulators and part elements (the center section of each LFA's "DE1").
One end of the home made half-wave 7/8" Heliax power divider with N-type connectors fitted via a copper box ...

SWR and Xs curves of the power divider when tested with the 4 antenna ports terminated with 50 Ohm dummy loads. Note the broad 50 Ohm SWR curve with the dip and resonance (Xs=0) near 50.2 MHz ...

An experimental four wide / low height configuration aimed at moon set for 6m EME.

The array pictured above has been dismantled ... but it will return as a 4 x 6 element array (2x2 stacking) on an "H" frame ...

09 Jan 2025: installation is under way. The "H-frame" to mount the four 6 element LFAs is now fitted to the main lattice tower.
15 Jan 2025: more work in progress.   No elevation mechanism ... it was just "too hard".

16 Jan 2025: It is up!
