Hi all,

Well this has been a really exciting year for New Zealand WARO with the hosting of the International YL 2000 in October. For those of us who were able to attend it was an experience we will not forget. Many new and lasting friendships were made and it was just so exciting meeting and greeting those YLs and OMs who had travelled from 15 other countries to be with us in New Zealand.

So many of those present had had very long journey's to get here, with up to 35 hours of air travel. I for one am so pleased that the YLs of the world had the fore thought to hold these World Meets on a regular two year basis. Many of us are already planning to attend Palermo in 2002.

I would like to take this opportunity to "Thank You" for the wonderful friendship of YL 2000, also the input from each and everyone of you who sent articles, photos etc. for inclusion in the December WARO Bulletin and also the YL2000 commemorative photo album.

 

 

Condolences are extended to Bev VK6DE on the sudden passing of her OM Brian VK6AI.

To those of you who have been ill during the year 2000 we do wish that your health is much better in 2001.

 

 

We here in New Zealand are enjoying really warm summer weather.For those of you on the other side of the world I am sure that you will all be looking forward to a "White Christmas".

I would like to wish you all a very " Merry and Joyous Christmas", with family and friends and "A Healthy, Prosperous New Year 2001".
