Pye Continental AM25 VHF Mobile Radiotelephone

The Pye Continental was a six channel mobile radio, first introduced for use in the 40MHz band, and later converted to operate in the 75MHz band when 40MHz was abandoned in 1971.

The transmitter power amplifier used valves, and the receiver was transistorised. The dual conversion receiver in this model was not a favourite with the radio technicians as it was particularly difficult to adjust.
