Microphone, Hand, Dynamic, No.7

The Hand Microphone No. 7 (NZ) was a
military issue dynamic microphone with push to talk switch. It formed part of the standard equipment issued with the ZC1 Mk 2 HF radio during World War 2..

After the war large numbers of these microphones were available on the surplus market, and they were used extensively by police in both mobile and base station applications. They were still to be found in watchhouses as late as the early 1970's.
