Here's the new operating station, all ready to roll for next season.  The furniture is not particularly elegant--2x4's and plywood.  The room decor is also a little barren--bare wall studs.  But what a view!  This is a BIG step up from operating in the tool shed.  For one thing, those are actual screens in the windows to keep the bugs out.  The tool shed had no screening at all, so for the past two years I've been simply enduring the bugs.  The tool shed had very little ventilation, and there was no view at all.  It did its job for me, but I'm surely glad to be relocated to better quarters now.

I just got this all put together this morning, and about noon couldn't resist the urge to try it out.  I tuned around and found somebody working hard to fight off the usual European mob.  He was asking for NA only, but of course nobody was paying any attention to that..  I listened for a long time, but he never gave his call.  I guess all those packet ops out there already knew who he was, but I was in the dark.  So I called...he came back...and rather than give a report I asked him please to tell me who he was.  The answer:  A52A!  Now is that a good omen or what for the new station that the first contact from the house was to Bhutan?
