Here are a couple of views of the west end gable treatment. The barge rafters are up and the gable end is complete. All of the vent board is in, and I now have blocking on the porch beam between the rafters. All that's left before I start nailing plywood on the roof is putting the fascia boards on the end of the rafters and adding backing ("deadwood") on the front and back outside walls.
This may not look like it's very high off the ground, but it was enough to give me a good scare. The peak of the ridgeline is about 24' off the ground.
