REF Contest

OBJECT:       The object is for stations throughout the world to contact
              as many French stations as possible. The 'French stations'
              are defined by:
                    - stations from France and Corsica island: F, TK
                    - French military stations in Germany: DA1, DA2
                    - overseas territories and department (DOM/TOM): FG,
                      FH, FJ, FK, FM, FO, FP, FR, FS, FT, FW, FY.

DATES:        CW  - Last weekend in January
              SSB - Last weekend in February

TIME:         Saturday  06.00   -   Sunday  18.00

BANDS:        80 - 10m   (no WARC).

CLASSES:      Single operator all band
              Single operator single band
              Multi operator multi band, one TX
              SWL

EXCHANGE:     RS(T) + serial number. French stations will send their
              Department. DOM/TOM send RS(T) and prefix.

POINTS:       Station outside 'French Speaking Countries':
                one point for QSO with station in same continent,
                three points for QSO with station in other continent.
              Station in a 'French Speaking Country':
                5 points for each QSO.

              List of 'French Speaking Countries': C3, CN, D6, HB, HH,
                HI, J2, LX, OD, ON, TJ, TL, TN, TP2CE, TR, TT, TU, TY,
                TZ, VE2, XT, YJ, 3A, 3V, 3X, 4U1ITU, 5R, 5T, 5V, 6W, 7X.

MULTIPLIERS:  French departments (96)
              Corsica (TK) departments (2)
              FFA (DA1/DA2)
              DOM-TOM

              Multipliers are counted per band.

              F6REF/00 gives one special multiplier.

SCORE:        Total QSO-points times total multipliers.

AWARDS:       For the first single op and multi op of each country.

LOGS:         Logs must be submitted within
                  March 15th  for CW
                  April 15th  for SSB
