Vermont QSO Party ----------------- SPONSOR: Central Vermont Amateur Radio Club. DATE: First weekend in February. TIME: Saturday 00.00 - Sunday 24.00z. Stations may work any 24 hour period during the 48 hours. Down times must be a 6 hour minimum. CLASSES: Single operator Multipoperator Club QRP (5 watts CW, 10 SSB) Mobile MODES: Work stations once per band and mode ( CW and RTTY/digital modes are separate). EXCHANGE: Vermont stations sends RST plus county and state; others send RST plus state/province/DXCC country. FREQUENCIES: CW - 40 kHz up from bottom of the 160 to 10 meter bands (excluding the 30, 17, and 12 meter bands) and 20 kHz up from the bottom of the Novice subbands. SSB- 160-10 meteres in the first 25 KHz of the General portion of each band, entire Novice 10 meter phone band. VHF - 50.200, 144.200, 146.49, 146.69. No repeater contacts. Other modes in customary sections, etc. SCORING: VT stations count 1 point per phone contact, 2 for CW, RTTY or other digital modes. Multiply by number of VT counties, states, provnices, countries, W1BD or other VT club stations. Multipliers count only once regardless of the number of bands they might be worked. Other stations count one point per VT phone QSO, 2 per VT CW, RTTY, etc. Mutiply by number of VT counties plus W1BD and other VT Club stations. A station may be worked up to 4 times per band (different modes). AWARDS: All stations submitting log will receive a VT QSO Party Certificate. Plaques to the 3 highest scoring station in each state, etc. Highest scoring QRP station will receive certificate.
