Pennsylvania QSO Party ---------------------- SPONSOR: This one is sponsored by the Nittany Amateur Radio Club of State College, Pennsylvania. The same station may be worked on each band and mode for QSO points. PA stations may also work other in-state stations for QSO and multiplier credit, and mobiles in each county. DATE: Second weekend in October. TIME: Saturday 16.00 - Sunday 05.00 UTC and Sunday 13.00 - Sunday 22.00 UTC. CLASSES: Single operator - Low power (150 watts), High power, QRP Multi operator, single transmitter Multi operator, multi transmitter Portable Novice/Technician Mobile Rover EXCHANGE: QSO number and county (PA stations), ARRL/RAC section or DXCC country for others. POINTS: One point for SSB/FM contacts. 1.5 points for CW, 2 points on 80 and 160 meters. MULTIPLIERS: PA counties (maximum of 67). Also ARRL sections and DXCC countries for PA stations. Mobiles on a county line give one QSO number but receive credit for 2 multipliers. TOTAL SCORE: Total QSO points times total multipliers. Mobiles add 500 points for each county operated from with a minimum of 10 QSOs. QRP stations multiply their score by 2, Novice/Tech by 3. FREQUENCIES: CW - 1810 kHz and 40 kHz up from bottom of each band. SSB - 1850, 3980, 7280, 14280, 21380, 28310 kHz. Try 160 meters at 03.00 UTC. AWARDS: Plaques will be awarded to the top entries in all entry divisions plus single operator USA Time Zones, EPA, WPA, and others as warranted. Certificates will be sent to county and section winners.
