Panama Anniversary Contest -------------------------- SPONSOR: The Panama Radio Club invites all radio amateurs of the world to participate in this Anniversary Contest. PURPOSES OF THE CONTEST: To celebrate the anniversary of the foundation of the Panama Radio Club, to promote and increase the DX activities of the panamanian radiohams and to strenghten the friendship ties with radiohams of the world. The main purpose is to make the highest possible number of radio contacts with other radio amateurs. PARTICIPANTS: All radio amateurs, worldwide, can participate. Contacts between all radio hams, worldwide, are valid. DATE: First Sunday in September. TIME: 00.01 - 23.59 UTC. CATEGORIES: Single operator, all band. MODE: SSB. BAND: 40, 20 and 15 meters only. EXCHANGE: RS plus serial number. POINTS: Count 2 points for contacts with HP club members, one point for all others. MULTIPLIERS: Count one multiplier per DXCC country worked. FINAL SCORE: Total QSO points times total multipliers. AWARDS: A. A Certificate to all stations with 10 (ten) or more contacts with HP stations, who forward their logs confirming these contacts. B. DX stations (Not HP). To the station with the highest points in each continent (Asia, Africa, America, Europe, Oceania and Antartica) a plaque as Continent Champion. To be eligible for the plaque it is mandatory to have contacted with ten (10) or more HP stations, duly confirmed by logs. The ten HP contacts requirement is essential to be eligible for any of the awards. C. HP stations. To the station in the HP zone with highest number of points, a special prize and the first place plaque. The second and third place participants will receive a plaque also. To opt for the prize and plaque, it is mandatory to have contacted 10 or more HP stations, confirmed by log. All radio stations of the HP zone must operate a minimum of six (6) hours during the contest. D. Being Panama, the host country, HP stations will not participate in the continent plaque. E. The only valid contacts are those confirmed by log. LOGS: Each log must contain: Five numbers (RS pluss 3 numbers beginning with 001), callsign of the station contacted, GMT (UTC) hour and the band used for the contact. When preparing the log, clearly insert your full name, callsign and address, so we can forward the awards, should you be the winner.
