About the Contest
Here are the results of the third annual Croatian CW Contest in 1998.
This was the first time with the new rules. We have received 250 logs from 41 country from 5 continents, only Africa is missing again. Lot of logs were received via e-mail and wed like to encourage all contesters to send their logs in via e-mail in the future. Please do net send any .zip files, we preffer .txt or .doc files.
The scores of the winners were good and finnally this year 10 meters was opened.The battle for the first places was very tough in all sections. Big gun station from Croatia 9A1A won multi op. category in Croatian section with colossal 1,84 million points (new contest record) and 1378 QSOs and 274 multis. Nice scores were produced in all other categories in Croatian section. Eugen, 9A7V won the single op., all bands, high power category, Koki, 9A2TN won the single op.,all bands,low power and Mladen, 9A3FO won the QRPp category. On 10 meters winners were Davor,9A2TS (high power) and Frane, 9A2FK (low power), on 15 meters was only one entry 9A4KA. On 20 meters winner was 9A5MT (low power), on 40 meters winners were Emil,9A/K6CRO (high power) and Ivo, 9A1AA (low power). On 80 meters winners were Dragan, 9A3NR (high power) and eljko, 9A2R (low power). On 160meters was only one entry from Edo, 9A2TW.
In foreign section Vladan, YT1BB won single op, all bands, high power category and Gedas, LY63BA won the low power category. Vitas, LY2FE won the QRPp category. On 10 meters winner was Alex, UA9YAB, on 15 meters winner was Steve, G0LII, on 20 meters winner was Nick, LZ3ND, on 40 meters winner was Vytas, LY2BLQ, on 80 meters winner was Law,LY1FF and on 160 meters winner was LY2HN. Winners in multi op. category were guys at RK3QYL station.

All contest certificates and contest plaques will be mailed to the winners in June.
