1)   The  correct sign-on message for this release of TNC  2 
     software is:

     cmd:

2)   A new message

     ?not while connected

     appears  if you attempt to alter your callsign (MYCALL) 
     or change the AX.25 Level Two Version number  (AX25L2V2 
     ON|OFF) while TNC 2 is not in the disconnected state.

3)   The  text  messages  stored in BTEXT and CTEXT  may  be 
     cleared by entering a % or & as the first letter in the 
     text.  Fort example, to clear the beacon text, enter

     BTEXT %<cr>

     and the BTEXT buffer will be cleared.

4)   Unlike  TNC  1,  the message in BTEXT (and  CTEXT)  are 
     stored in battery-backed RAM (bbRAM).

5)   THINK TWICE BEFORE USING THE RESET COMMAND!  Unlike TNC 
     1, RESET on TNC 2 changes ALL parameters to their de-
     fault values!
