HIGH PERFORMANCE 144MHz TRANSVERTER |
Under Construction 12.05.2014
After a long use of the transverter Javornik (modified by me), I decided to build a new transverter with slightly higher performance.
-I want to replace the mixer receiver with a triple balanced mixer HMJ5. This is a GaAs FET Mixer with +38dBm Input IP3 and +17dBm LO Drive Level. Noise Figure (loss) is 6 dB.
- TX Mixer: ADE-1H+ Local Oscillator Level +17dBm, IP3=+23dBm, NF=5dB.
-RX Front End use a MMIC type PGA-103+ . Input IP3 is better than 11dBm, Noise Figure = 0,5dB, Gain = 25dB.
-Push-Pull Post Mixer Amplifier with low noise and very high IP3 (DJ2LR) or a Push-Pull Norton Amplifier.
-RX Helical Filter (to high insertion loss??? S21=???), I have to do some tests...
-Butler Low Noise Oscillator 116MHz, Output Level = 20dBm (100mW). May be controlled by a Reverse DDS and connected to a good quality TCXO/GPS.
-Better TX Channel with good IMD performance. Final stage is a RF MOSFET PA type RA60H1317M1.
-PIN diode ALC
-VSWR protection circuit.
-TX amplifiers use ERA-5+ or Feedback Amplifier with BFG135(W7ZOI). I have to do some tests...ERA-5+ seems to have IIP3=+13dBm(OIP3=+33dBm).
