The base station is a Yaesu FT 990DC
full option installed and you can see it here. I will let you guess
that the other one is a 706mkII full option on the top
of the pile at the right of the picture, this one is for the mobile
operation and is accompanied by an AT180 tuner and a solid
state HF amplifier with a 400W P.E.P capability (HF and VHF).The
other Linear Amp is a twin 4-400, the antenna tuner is a
TenTec model 229/2kW and the meter is a Daiwa
CN-101L. As you can see,
there is a desk microphone which is a Heil HC-5 and the CW key
is a Bencher. There is a TNC/modem for the digital modes as
well - an AEA Pakratt make model 232MBX
You can have a better view below, the
amplifier, the tuner and the key can be seen. There is an antenna
positioner from Yaesu, a G-450A model which helps me
turning the 3 element ASAY beam for 14, 21 and 28 MHz. Talking
about antennas there is more: an R7 from Cushcraft, an
ALAN for 2m and a W3DZZ for lower bands (80 and 40m).
I shall not forget the computer which
helps me a lot: a Pentium 4/1.5GHz stuffed with all kind of
hardware and software
There are some extra gadgets which I
would like to mention: the HF mobile antenna from Hustler
which brings me in all the classic bands, a Standard C256 2m
amplifier for packet radio usage back home, a MFJ G5RV antenna
and not to forget, a Mitac Celeron laptop, 400MHz...
Here comes me for the picture now
Plus you can have a detail of my 990
for a closer look and yes, again me.
