History

Established Indonesian Amateur Radio Organization (ORARI)  Regional of Central Kalimantan

Amateur Radio in Central Kalimantan Regional was started at 1974-1975 in Sampit,  under  controlled  by Indonesia  Amateur Radio  Organization of South of  Kalimantan Mr. M. Ujang  (Callsign YD7OA) had responsibility for doing  that  but  development of Indonesian  Amateur Radio  Organization Limited in Sampit.

In the end of 1980 Mr. W.A.Gara-Govemor of Central Kalimantan, invited Mr. Edward Wahchid (Present Callsign YB7KD) and he  suggested to  organized youth who interested with electronic design.    Now he has position as chairman of adviser and Supervisor Board (DPP) of  ORARI with Callsign YB7QA.

After  he had  permission from   SATHUB-LAKSUSDA  South of  Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan, and then he discussed it with Mr.Manyamei E. Rabu, Mr.H.Said Muhammad Assegaf, Mr.H.M.Arief Rachman, Mr.Daya Bijaksana Whenthe,  Mr. Horton from Palangka Raya and  Mr. R. Suparsono from Kuala Kapuas.    All of them was the people who interested with amateur radio.

On May 25, 1981, the Leadership of ORARI Local of Palangka Raya an Kuala Kapuas was  established and Mr. Edward Wahchid  as chairman The Leadership of Regional of Central Kalimantan was established on 24 Mei 1982.
