Ethiopia
Ethiopia's history during that past twenty years has been a rocky one.  During the 1970's and 80's it was a Soviet communist puppet, trying to spread Moscow's reach deeper into the Horn of Africa.  In 1989, the monarchy in Addis Ababa collapsed and various ethnic groups and tribes vied to separate.

A northern strip of land indeed seceeded from Ethiopia in 1993 to become Eritrea, and five years later the two neighbors found themselves at war.

With a network of refugees spanning the globe from Germany to Washington, DC, money hasn't been a difficult target for these groups and as a result there is a psychological war being played on the airwaves by people aiming to grab power.
