WX3B Antenna Pictures

Revised:  March 29, 2004

Here are the pictures of my modest and effective antennas.   My secret weapon is being 1,100 feet above sea level in Manchester, Carroll County, MD.   My lot has a steep drop down for about 270 degrees - so I get great coverage from VK/ZL to JA to Europe.

Though you don't seem them, there are three dipoles centered on my 55 foot AB/577 Military Mast.  75 meter dipole hangs at 55 feet, 40 meter dipole hangs at 50 feet, and 160 dipole hangs at 45 feet.  The antennas are draped around my yard.  75 and 40 work extremely well; 160 is a cloud-warmer and it's good for a few European QSOs in the contests.
