A Tribute to The Night Watchman
Amos Crum (KC8IZA) Silent Key January 5, 2003
We will miss you Amos.
Jan. 5,2003 Tonight it is with great regret and sorrow we mourn the passing of our friend and Ham Radio Operator, Amos Crum KC8IZA. Our prayers and hearts go out to Amos' family. Amos was a strong individual true in his faith of God to the end. We visited Amos only last week and his emotions and faith were as strong as they ever were although he was in great pain. He still managed to give us a smile and tell us how he enjoyed our talk around nets and the many friends he had made on the radio. We have lost a true friend.
We termed him as the Night Watchman because he always worried about each of us as we did our jobs of everyday life. If help was ever needed, he would have been there to help. As we sign Amos'call sign, let us remember him and the way he touched our lives. We give a prayer for his family who mourns his passing . At this time I call KB8GDF to send his call. Let us remember.
