How remote is your radio?
Field Day helps us all realize what it takes to put a signal on the air from a location other than a comfortable ham shack. Some take their 440 mobile radios out with them while visting our beautiful Southwest countryside. Others, it would seem, go to extremes to test the limits of their radios.
Joe Ruby, KC7GHT, sent me a couple of photos that spans two of his hobbies...ham radio and offroad 4-wheeling.
You'll have to ask Joe for any commentary that may go with these pictures. I simply am impressed with where he had his Jeep when these were taken. For those of you that don't......well, what can I say, "It's a Jeep thing...you wouldn't understand."
