WS8G Homebrew 12 Volt Generator

   Hand built electrical supply for camping and for radios. Put together for about $25 and a few hours of work

   This Motor Generator Set was originally built for Amateur Radio Field Day, June of each year

   Uses a scrap lawn mower engine with a 3 inch pulley and a GM Alternator with a built in voltage regulator

   The alternator turns in the reverse of the normal direction, but this does not seem to wear the brushes abnormally

   The alternator normally charges a 12 volt deep cycle battery
