While normally i concentrate my songwriting efforts to Christian Contemporary stuff, mostly for performances at Coffeehouses in and about central Florida ( we can be found at Jeremiah's place in Orange City, or Deland's "Upper Room" on Rich and Woodland ), i couldn't resist cobbling together something for radio. I mean, with all due respect to the band "RadioHead", the term has been around longer than those kids have been alive. I was called a Radio Head as far back as the 1960s.
I remember my old S-38E. She would accompany me for breakfast and sing me to sleep at night, and escort me across a world of music, languages, events, all burned into my memory as a collage of mental pictures. To this day, my biggest thrill in radio is listening to Irish Gaellic songs from Clannaud, or hip hop from Praha, or the sweet timbrels of the carribean.
Or International Code (CW) with my favourite group of brasspounders.
This is probably the only ode to a Shortwave Radio set on the web, or anywhere else for that matter. To hear the song, click here.
