As FO3BM, and 6m operator, I was on Rurutu Island,
Australs group from 1986 to 1990 then I moved to
Moorea Island near Tahiti where I live now. I'm
mostly interested in 6m and specially DX due to
my location...
I went on some 6m DXpeditions: in Marquesas in
October 2000 where I was TX0SIX, then I went to
Chesterfield group in May 2001 as TX0C, on the trip I activated some wet
squares as TX4A/MM. On November 2001 I was on the way to Ducie with a VP6BM
callsign for the first VP6DI attempt but that failed 80 miles to our final
destination due to very bad weather conditions on a strange ship with a
nasty crew... and now I'm lucky enough to be given by Kan, JA1BK, a second
chance to be on 6m from Ducie where I expect to have nice propagation on
that band.
