Amateur Radio Satelites

For more then 20 years now this has been my most favorite mode and it also was the reason I got into Amateur Radio. My Grandfather tried for many years to get me to learn the Code but I was just unable to get it down. But one day in Gym class in High School a good friend of mine showed me his QST mag and on the Cover was a picture of Oscar 6 which had just been launched.
Well that was the catalyst that got me studying again. All the Space activities during the 60's and early 70's peaked my Interest in these kind of things. And now there was a new Star/Moon that everyone with a Amateur Tech or higher could use. I'm not forgetting Oscar 3&4 but at the time they where active
I was still in grade school.  I have been active since Oscars 7, And I have been
on the following Satelites. AO-7 AO-8 RS-1&2 RS-3thru8 (these where launched all at the same time a first I think Amateur Radio wise) Then AO-10 (The First Phase III type to make into orbit) FO-12 (First all Japanes Launched Satelite) AO-13(Second phase III type) Then along came RS-10/11
(During testing I was on all the transponders & Robots) RS-12/13 (Same as RS10/11) FO-20 & 29 And last but not least RS-15.
Also I have worked the Shultle and Mir Space station.
I should say that I enjoy any and all Amateur Space activitys.

I will try to provide on this page some useful information related to
Operating the Oscars as well as the Radio Sputniks, Both of which I have
enjoyed using for along time. As well as some Activity reports.
I am currently active on the Following Satellites,   RS-12 & 13  RS-15(time to time) FO-20 FO-29 and of course AO-10,  Im mostly on CW but from some times I do get on phone.  I will be on RS-16 as soon as it is turn on,
I am not currently active on any of the pacsats all thought this might change in the near future.
