Hindu Rope Plant comments Before blooming
By Joe Lyddon

I am an amateur.

This plant does not bloom very often.
The first time I saw it bloom, I thought someone had stuck some fake decorative flowers into it.
Wrong, it actually blooms with a very beautiful & petite flower which I hope to capture when the time comes.
You might call this a 'dry run' because this is before it blooms.

I would really like to get a nice picture of it. . .
I don't think I have ever seen a picture of this plant in bloom!

Maybe I can get some comments from you?

No fancy equipment here!
I took this with a Polaroid PDC 1100.
Flash turned off.
Resolution set to Medium (next size larger than 640 x 480).
Lens set to Macro.
Zoom turned on (2x).

This plant is in our kitchen window, which faces South.
By the time I had everything in place & ready to take pictures, the sun had moved way out of the position that I wanted.
I used a white paper plate and some white dishes placed around to reflect light up into the plant, which worked fairly well.
I pinned some black material, that I got from my wife, in the background to cover walls, etc.
I couldn't even use a tripod or anything else to hold the camera, except me holding it!

Comments Received:
1.    Missed focus on the buds.
2.    Take at highest resolution, then reduce for display.
3.    Use a tripod.

Thank you,
