Hello, All.
I'm going to be buying some expensive +/-20ppm 77.76 MHz PECL oscillators to
provide the reference clocks for OC12 SerDes. I will have 4 Serdes on a
board, arranged in two pair. The two of the pair will be within an inch or
two of each other (PQFP64 packages.)
I'm hoping I can use 1 oscillator to drive two serdes, but I'm not
completely sure I can do this and expect everything else to work properly.
If I keep the distance between the two Serdes short, and I terminate
properly after the last serdes, I think maybe I can get away with it.
I'm hoping someone can tell me that this will be no problem, or that I
really shouldn't try.
Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
-Kent
