Hi,
I use Pacific Numerix and haven't had any problems. I am not sure how much it
cost, possibly much higher then 600 dollars!. I get characteristic impedance,
mutual and self parasitics, delay, attenuation, skin depth, crosstalk
coefficients. I can use realistic conductor cross sections such as trapezoids
and I verified simulation results with other other tools such as HPMDS
picosecond interconnect modeling suite. The results agree within 2%.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gary,

Linpar also gives the result as RLCG matrices, plus Zo and even and odd Z
matrices, as well as velocity and attenuation.
The only thing I don't like with Linpar would be if I had to create my own
geometry. I think it is an excellent tool, and to me it is worth much more that
it costs (about $300).
