Ravi,

If the differential lines carry low amplitude signals, it will be
beneficial to use a guard band around them. However, presence of guard
band will cause a reduction in the characteristic impedance of differential
lines. It will be advisable to use a 2-D field solver to determine the
quantitative effect of impedance change due to guard band.

Subject: [SI-LIST] : Guard band for differential signals

Hi,

Is it advisable to provide ground guard band for differential signals?
What will be the effect of guard band for differential signals?

Thanks
