Hi,

I apologize if my question does not fit the format of the list (forgive
the newbie).

I am currently involved in the design of high-speed test interface
equipment, which utilize a large PCB as a major portion of the
interconnect. Ideally, I would like to be able to simulate the response
of this interconnect to varying stimuli from DC->800MHz (di/dt up to
20A/ns, normal logic voltage levels CMOS, BiCMOS,etc) digital signals
for signal integrity problems. We currently use a microwave (freq.
domain) analysis tool for Power Integrity issues, but the learning curve
for this tool is steep. I am looking for a nice GUI that our technicians
would be comfortable with, but am mostly concerned with accuracy across
this range.

I would like to solicit any recommendations based on this groups
experience with the available tools in industry for PCB SI analysis.
Please respond to my email address, and I will be happy to post any
results to the list.

Also, I realize that several EDA vendors participate in this list, I
welcome your comments as well (why is your companies product better than
anyone elses?).

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide, and again I apologize if
this is not a proper forum for this question.

Brett
