I am looking for a summary of today's primary signaling
technologies (i.e., TTL, LVTTL, HSTL, GTL, ECL, PECL). I am
trying to put together a handout for a 1 hour class on the topic.
This handout is intended to be a reference or cheat sheet for the
students.
The level of detail I am looking for is a 1-5 page summary per
technology. Items of interest include:
1. simple schematics of the input and output stages
2. voltage and current specs
3. margin specs
4. drive capacity
5. edge rates
6. input/output pad characteristics (i.e., impedance)
7. strengths, weaknesses, and common uses
8. topology/termination implications
If it doesn't exist, I will have to create it myself. Obviously
I would rather leverage work all ready done.
Thank you,
Marc Jensen
