Pacific Numerics has a parisitic parameters tool that gives a graphical
output of what the end of a wire or trace would look like electrically.

This was espically helpfull in determining how shielding effected a flex desidn
I was working on. It runs on a Sun & the cost is high (this was 4-5 years ago)

They probably have a WinNt version. The last version I saw could read gerbers &
figure the 3D impeadance. That was a couple of years ago.
