IEEE 1997 ISIS: The International Conference
on Innovative Systems in Silicon

ISIS 97 is the second annual conference addressing the broad arena of novel
advances in microelectronic integration. The conference focuses on systems
that extend the limits of performance, yield, reliability, size, weight,
power,
and cost. Reflecting state-of-the-art contributions from industry and
academia,
ISIS 97 will provide a forum for the latest progress in interdisciplinary
research and development.
Original submissions are invited on topics such as
- microelectronics for telecommunications, the internet, and multimedia
- optoelectronic and micro-electromechanical systems (MOEMS, MEMS)
- innovative two and three dimensional interconnect and packaging
- neuromorphic microelectronic systems; intelligent sensors
- large area application specific integrated circuits (ASIC's);
field programmable gate arrays (FPGA's);
wafer scale integration (WSI); advanced multichip modules (MCM's)
- novel microprocessors, memories, and digital signal processing (DSP)
- testing; reconfiguration; defect and fault tolerance
- next generation computer aided design (CAD)
- modeling of cost, yield, and reliability
Authors should submit six copies of a three or four page summary, plus figures
and appendices, to one of the program chairs listed below. Regular and keynote
papers will be included in hardcover copies of the proceedings, available at
the conference. ISIS 97 will feature an evening panel discussion on issues of
contemporary interest. Send suggestions for keynote speakers and panel topics
to one of the program chairs.
Summaries must be received by May 15, 1997
Authors will be notified of acceptance by June 15, 1997
Final manuscripts must be received by August 1, 1997
