Staff Hardware Engineering position:
Successful candidate will lead a small team consisting of several
internal groups responsible for defining and ensuring the successful
design and implementation of Microprocessor cards. Candidate will own
the overall timing budget for the various components in addition to
providing technical contributions in the areas of packaging, I/O buffer
design, and system interconnect design. Duties will include extensive
simulations of signal quality and timings using both Quad and HSpice,
and test H/W development and validation measurements. Results must be
documented through presentations and reports.
Must have solid technical background on design of high speed systems
including clock and power distribution, transmission line analysis,
signal quality analysis and noise containment. Must have a proven track
record of successfully completed H/W design projects and experience with
circuit simulation. Effective verbal & written communication skills are
a must. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize and
handle multiple tasks, strong initiative and self-motivation coupled
with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
PhD,MSEE with at least 5 yrs relevant experience.
Hardware Design Engineer Position
Successful candidate will be part of team defining and ensuring the
successful design and implementation of Microprocessor cards. Duties
will include simulations of signal quality and timings using both Quad
and HSpice, and scope and validation measurements. Candidate will work
with board layout, component design and systems manufacturing groups to
optimize the design and insure all requirements are met.
Candidates should understand basic transmission line behavior concepts,
be familiar with board schematic and simulation tools, and have
experience validating hardware in a lab (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers,
etc.). Software skills, such as writing UNIX scripts and simple
validation routines, are highly desired. Strong interpersonal, team
skills verbal and written communication are a must.
MSEE or BSEE with 2-4 years experience.
