Hi all,

I'll keep this brief.

Cadence's SI/Crosstalk/SSN/EMI design and analysis tool is called
SPECCTRAQuest. SigNoise was an add-on to Allegro that performed simulation
only. It has been replaced by SPECCTRAQuest, which allows the
electrical/SI engineer to view/edit/analyze and drive rules into the board
database without tying up the CAD department's Allegro license. It does a
lot more than that, but I promised to be brief ...

Cadence is also offering an entry-level SI tool that operates directly out
of Allegro. Called SPECCTRAQuest Signal Explorer, this tool extracts
electrical models and simulates individual nets. This is an entry level
tool for people whose SI issues are limited to a few critical signals.

More questions, please contact me.

Todd.
