Position:

Application Engineer for our Signal Integrity (EDA) product suite.

Location:

There is currently a position available in our Scottsdale, AZ
office, and there is also a position available in our San Jose,
CA office.

Responsibilities:

Support Ansoft's existing and future Signal Integrity (EDA) software.

Function as a specialist in the use and application of Ansoft's
software in the EDA market place.

Perform pre and post sales support of customers including evaluations,
software benchmarking and high level technical support.

Provide both on-site and telephone support of customers experiencing
problems with the software or its application to a particular
application.

Provide assistance to customers to learn new software or transition to
upgraded systems.

Provide on-site demonstrations, presentations, and training for Ansoft's
products in support of the sales and marketing efforts.

Provide first line interface between customers, development staff, and
management personnel to guarantee customer requirements are met in
developing new or upgraded products.

Requirements:

BS in Electrical Engineering or higher with emphasis on engineering
analysis and design of electronic circuits, circuit boards, advanced
packaging, and subsystems.

Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in integrated circuit,
IC packaging, MCM or printed circuit board design.

Experience with Ansoft's Maxwell software and/or Pacific Numerix'
signal integrity software is highly desirable.

Experience with available CAD/CAE tools such as Cadence or Mentor is
also desirable.

Candidates should be skilled in the use of Unix and MS Windows
operating systems.

Must be capable of dealing directly with customers in a group or
one-on-one setting. Must be willing to travel.

Previous experience in a customer or sales support role would be
beneficial but not required.
