Regarding your question about plotting eye diagrams in HSPICE, try
defining parameter(s) that are "sawtooth time", then plotting the
waveform versus one of these parameters. The general form is:
.probe Parm=par('BitTime+(time/BitTime-int(time/BitTime+Phase))')
where BitTime is the bit interval and Phase (0 <= Phase < 1) is
a time offset to center your displayed eye diagram. I define
several of these parameters, then choose the best one for display.
You also need to set a switch in AvanWaves to turn off the flyback
which will otherwise mess up the plot. (I think this is a setting
to plot points vs. plot lines, but don't recall.)
There's probably a slicker way, but this works. Hope it helps.
