For starters, we need to start communicating and asserting our needs with our
suppliers. The "heads-up" suppliers are already using controlled edge rates as a
selling point in the applications where they are needed.
It is a competive edge to design with the right part and avoid those that will
give you grief. My point to "us SI engineers" is that our jobs depend on that
competitive edge. Not, on "make-work."

Totally agree Roy but what are we going to do, beef up or purchasing department
to try to locate slower part more in tune with our clock rates or hire SI
engineers to fight with those unnecessary edge rates.
