Open Position: Sr. Staff/Principal Engineer-Field Solver
RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a
significant technology and product advance capacitance extraction for
Simplex.
Specific responsibilities include:
a) Take full ownership of Simplex's algorithmic superiority in
capacitance extraction
b) Specify, design, analyze, implement, document, and test large
complex bodies of software, complex data structures and algorithms
c) Identify the key project areas, resource requirements, and work out
details technical specification management and other interested parties.
Candidate must be committed to consistently high quality in both the
development of software and in its results, be comfortable working with
existing code as well as developing new high performance software to
meet customer requirements, and be able to clearly and carefully
document ongoing work. A team-oriented, self-motivated, person with good
communication skills who is able to work independently will be an
excellent candidate.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
MSEE/CS or comparable work experience is required. A Ph.D. will be a
plus. Candidate must be an excellent software engineer with at least 10
years experience in the industry. Experience should include algorithmic
study/research, writing, reviewing, analyzing software and maintaining
the system. Expertise in C (or C++) programming in a Unix environment
and knowledge of software engineering methods is essential. Must have
demonstrated ability in working in large, complex software systems of
more than 50,000 lines of codes. Familiarity with integrated circuits
design and fabrication is required.The ideal candidate will have
expertise or experience in RC extraction and participated in several
product development cycles. Experience with development or research
project in interconnect extraction, knowledge of physical design, and
knowledge of 3-D field solver numerical analysis methods are a plus.
