- The accuracy is ±2% of full scale value on all D.C.
ranges, ±5% on all A.C. ranges, and 2% of the linear scale
for all ohmmeter ranges. For maximum accuracy, select the
range in which the reading is in the upper half of the scale.
- When the magnitude of the voltage or current to be
measured is not known, always start with the highest range
first. It is good procedure not to switch ranges when the
tester is energized.
- If zero resistance can not be adjusted, the batteries should
be replaced. To replace batteries,
- Remove tester from
the leather case and turn over.
- Open cover marked
"BATTERIES".
- Remove batteries and replace with (2) 1½ volt size AAA batteries.
- Replace cover and put tester
in leather case.
- Set up tester for R range, short the
leads, adjust for zero resistance and keep leads shorted for
1 to 2 minutes.
The tester is now ready to be used on any
resistance range by, following the usual procedure.
-
The plastic window has been treated at the factory to
dissipate static charges. If it becomes necessary to clean the
window, wipe the window gently with cotton dipped in a
solution of common household liquid detergent diluted with
water. Let it dry without rubbing, forced air, or heat. This
procedure will dissipate static charge.
NOTE -
Meter jacks are not standard "pin" jacks.
