After the A-1E had droped its bombs and the Huey flew over launching rockets and firing its guns, Sgt. Holcomb and A1C Della Porta of the 377th SPS, set up an M-60 firing position south of hooch 1244. Notice the 7.62mm M-60 Machine Gun Cartridge Cases on the side walk.

After the A-1E had droped its bombs and the Huey flew over launching rockets and firing its guns, an ARVN walked up and fired an RPG through the front of this house; blowing out the back wall.

In this picture you can see the fire started after the A-1E bombing.
The Fire Aftermath
The old French cemetery, visable in the background, is where the VC dug up their buried weapons and grouped together for the attack early that morning.
