2002 CQ/NRJ World Wide RTTY Contest
WA9ALS (Multi)
This was our 2nd effort from the Black Hole of RF. We had quite an improvement from our first try last year, but this was the complex result of great propagation, more participation, different station configuration, and a little more experience. |

Working multi-op, even from our little pistol station, is a blast! This was our 2nd attempt at this, and we improved our personal best significantly. We undoubtedly got some of the improvement from the great propagation enjoyed during this contest, but we also worked more hours than the year before and were generally more experienced. My advice if you are thinking of designing your own first muti-op is to find more ops! It's a long 48 hrs! Thanks to Alan and Wes for doing this contest with me again this year, and to our XYLs who did numerous things to make the 48 hrs more enjoyable and for putting up with us in general! 73 - John (WA9ALS) |
