U.S. Air Force Global High Frequency Network The USAF Global High Frequency Radio System (GHFS) is a system of 14 High Frequency (HF) stations around the world. A system upgrade, SCOPE COMMAND, will allow remote control of these radio assets from Andrews AFB, Maryland. You may hear a station Identify as Offutt Global but the Operator is in Maryland. The upgrade is not yet complete. There are many stations that are still being manned by Radio Operators at the local control site.
