Why this Page?
I have poor
vision due to Wet Macular Degeneration from several years ago. As a result my center vision has almost no
detail. I can no longer read printed
material because I need a really large dark font and high contrast. No one prints books or magazines like
that. I use electronic readers for just
about everything. Many things I have to
copy and paste into a word processor and change the font to make it readable.
I am
designing this Website to accommodate others with Low-Vision or other
difficulties. So this Website will have
the following features:
·
High
Contrast
·
Easy
Read Font
·
Bolder
Font
·
No
Italic Fonts
·
No
Flashing Text
·
No
Dark-on-Dark or Lite-on-lite text

Notes:
I have no
purchased any of the devices from the above manufacturers. However I am keeping watch on them. My vision is too good right now to make these
solutions worth the money. However I mad
need one of the in the future.
I did by an
Electronic Magnifier called a Clover 10.
While I do find it useful for a couple of things, it is really not worth
the cost. My guess it is 2002 technology
from a Freshman Design Project. No Touch
Screen, No Menu, specialized Power Supply (not USB). Settings are made by pressing two or more
controls in the proper sequence or together.
Not something I would expect to be sold in 2024 anywhere other than a
Thrift Store. I recommend passing right
on by the Clover 10.
