KE3BSA JAMBOREE ON THE AIR (JOTA) for the 828 Venture Crew - Date Created: 10/20/02.

On Saturday October 19, 2002 - KE3BSA - Venture Crew 828 all had a great time! We worked K2BS Mobile in Florida - the guy on the front of the Radio Merit Badge Book! We worked Scouts around the country and Hams around the World - - - Tom's new Multi-band Dipole did a fine job! - We even Worked Sabu VU2ELJ in India!

    • 828 Venture Crew worked 8 new countries and met a bunch of JOTA Scouts - It was a Blast!

    As you can see in our Original Log we tried to contact W7QNS (Dave) in Powell Wyoming. Well - - - the Band Faded Out but we were determined to work him. Dropping him an E-Mail we all met on Wednedsday October 23, 2002 and met 4 Scouts from Wyoming: Charlie (Eagle Scout age 18), James (Life Scout age 17), Corry (Eagle Scout age 17), and Clinton (First Class Scout age 12) all from Troop 33. Tom & TJ using KB3CVS, and Rich WA3SKQ had a great time meeting Dave and the 4 Scouts from Troop 33. JOTA was a great time to make new friends and share the Adventure of Ham Radio. Looks like we have some new friends in Wyoming near Yellowstone! Thanks Dave and everyone from Troop 33!
