Hello and thank you for visiting my website! My name is
Trevor Conroy, W7TDC and I am 17 years old. I was licensed
in April of 2000 as a Technician licesee holding the callsign
of KD7IOZ. I started my antenna and radio collection almost
immidiatly and quickly became a very active ham. I participated
in local nets as well as becoming a member of the McMinnville
Amateur Radio Club and the Yamhill
County Amateur Radio Emergency Service. In November
of 2000 I upgraded to General Class and attained the vanity
callsign of W7TDC. I borrowed a Ramsey 20M tranciever from
a friend untill I upgraded to Extra class in July of 2001.
I then aquired an Icom 746 in August of 2001 after the annual
EAA Fly-In in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I then started to really
rack up the QSO's for the next year. I started contesting
and learning what all that is about as well as setting up
a good station. I got a Mosley TA-33 yagi for 10/15/20 with
3 elements. It is atop a 30ft tower in my backyard. It's
been a really good antenna and pretty much gets me wherever
I need to go. I then completed my HF Station n August of
2003 when I aquired an Icom 756PROII. The PROII is a great
radio with amazing features such as the spectrum scope that
just lights up beautifully during contests. During the summer
of 2003, I got a new Mosley TA-33 atop the tower. I kept
the old one in hopes to some day stack them. I also have
an Ameritron AL-80A amplifier that I completely rebuilt.
It gives me a nice clean 800-1KW power output depending
on the band. I do use other modes such as SSTV and Packet.
I'm primarly an SSB operator but I will make the occasional
CW contact. Thanks again for visiting my site! If you have
any questions about me or would like to contact me, feel
free to e-mail me.
