Ham radio spoken here!

Welcome! The South Coast area of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties is a long way from San Luis Obispo. Hence, the Section Manager (Rob Griffin, K6YR) needs help providing the attention that the area deserves. This is where the Assistant Section Manager comes in. It is my pleasure to be of service to all amateurs and especially League members residing in this area.

I hope that the information provided in this web site will answer most of your questions. Should that not be the case feel free to contact me at any of the "Hot Buttons" conveniently located throughout the site. I am also OK in the "Callbook" in all of its current forms.

I don't believe that a League appointee should be one of the "Invisible People" that only appear at conventions and any place that might present the opportunity for a free meal and drinks. League appointees should appear at club meetings as well as conventions. They should write articles for publication in club newsletters and magazines and, if possible, maintain informative and helpful web sites.

By the way, if you are not a League member, I would like to talk to you about joining with us to make the ARRL the organization you want it to be! There are always vacancies in our field organization and one may be just right for you. I'll be happy to talk to you about that also.

The objective of this web site is to promote amateur radio and the American Radio Relay League and all of its activities, but with an accent on the Field Organization within the Santa Barbara Section — comprised of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. You are invited to join with us as an active member serving the community, and to have fun at the same time. Happy browsing!
