Pledge of Allegiance led by Kurt

Program:  “Home Computer Security and Safety” presented by Vice President Richard, AF5AQ with handouts containing information on Hackers, Viruses and common sense applications of maintenance and protection.  Handouts may be requested from Richard.

All Officers present.

Quorum declared.

Treasurer’s report by Dan, AE5JG;

Old Business:

Nick, K5BQJ Repeater Status: W5WA working well.  N5OS moved to W5WA Site for controlled environment storage until new location is available.  A location must be found for the 440 Repeater.

No VE Activity – however Dan, AE5JG reports that Charlie, N2PKW will be available for attending Club n Meetings and VE Sessions. 

Announcement for Next Club Meeting:  May 28, 2013.

New Business:

Richard, AF5AQ reported on Field Day preparations to date:  Same location as last year.  Bring a sack lunch, as we cannot have food prepared there.

Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and R. O. T. C. have been contacted to attend.

Dan, AE5JG gave an update on the questionnaire results.  Majority of the members responded.  Dan and Charlie, AG5CC are working on a spreadsheet for a presentation in a future meeting.

Chris, K5MOZ reported of the E O C Building being revamped and may need help with the installation of the ham equipment and antennas.  It must be completed before the last week in May for the hurricane drill.

Nick, K5BQJ informed the Club about the tower being taken down from the Old River Road site.
